Blog Customization Resources

Reblogged from: Lyndi

If you make your own graphics, most of these textures can be used as brushes in your photo manipulation software.

GIMP is 100% free and just as capable as Adobe Photoshop.

pixlr is also free, but web-based. There are 3 editors, but the advanced editor is also pretty close to Photoshop.

BannerSnack allows you to make flash banners. If you want an animated header, this is the place to go.

GIF EDITORS - add effects, resize, add text, remove frames, etc

FONTS - download and install on your own computer or use Google Fonts to embed directly into your blog

NEW: Discussion Rooms Formatting Tips

Reblogged from: BookLikes

Discussion Rooms are getting filled with book lovers :) And now we’re giving you extra option to make your discussion posts unique. You can edit your posts with basics HTML tags.

Let’s see what formatting is now available in your Discussion rooms:

The easiest way to add formatting is to copy/paste a given tag and insert your text/link between markers, e.g.: I loved this book! -> I loved this book!

We’re sure that after several posts, you’ll know them by heart :-)

And if you make a mistake or a typo, don’t worry. You can easily Edit your post and make all necessary corrections.

Another new feature is sticking discussions within a group. For the time being this option is available only for Administrators of a Group. If your are Group Admin and you notice that a given discussion receives bigger attention, bring it to the top. Enter the Discussion and click “Stick”. Then it will be first above other discussion in the group with special marker.

Finished: In The Blood by Lisa Unger

In the Blood: A Novel - Lisa Unger

Goodreads Choice Awards Nominee for Best Book of 2014, Amazon Best Book of the Month, Sun Sentinel Best Mystery Novels of 2014, Suspense Magazine Best Books of 2014 and Indie Next pick!

Liar, liar, pants on fire . . . College senior Lana Granger has told so many lies about her past that the truth seems like a distant, cloudy nightmare. But she meets her match when she begins babysitting for a volatile, manipulative eleven-year-old boy. Soon after Lana takes the job, her close friend Beck mysteriously disappears. Lana instantly begins fabricating stories - to friends, to police, to herself. Why doesn't her account jibe with those of eye-witnesses? Lana will do anything to bury the truth about that night ... and about her life. But someone else knows her secrets. And he's dying to tell.

As darkly startling and finely crafted as her blockbuster bestseller Beautiful Lies, Lisa Unger's masterful new psychological thriller is packed with no-holds-barred raw power.

The synopsis is what intrigued me to read this book.

It was definitely a very different mystery.

Didn't realize this wasn't a Joe Pickett book but I just happen to have read The Highway and loved it. Looks like this is the second book in the series for Cassie Dewell.  I'll let you know what I think off it!
